Child car safety concerns
Consumer Reports
August 6, 2008
If you’re in the market for a family car, child safety is very likely one of your top priorities. There are a number of issues, features, and options that you should know about when evaluating and selecting the right vehicle for your family’s needs.

Tips for Parents

1. Never leave children in or around vehicles unattended
2. Don’t let children play in driveways or near streets where cars can strike a child unintentionally
3. Ensure children are properly fastened by seatbelts or in car seats
4. Don’t leave children in a car alone even while running a quick errand such as using the ATM or picking up dry cleaning. Temperatures inside cars can rise much quicker than anticipated.
